We collect what we need to run your account, your tickets and your programs, and nothing more. We do not sell your data or show ads. Organizers see the details of people who join their events. You can ask us to delete your data at any time.
1. Who is responsible
Eventory is operated by Shubham Ramprasad Kashyap, Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, who decides how your personal data is used (the “data fiduciary” under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023). Contact: shubham@buildbykashyap.in.
2. What we collect
| Data | Why |
|---|---|
| Name, email, password (stored only as a secure hash) | To create and secure your account and send you account emails. |
| Name, email and picture from Google, if you choose “Continue with Google” | To sign you in without a separate password. |
| Phone number (optional) | Only if you add and verify it, to contact you about your bookings. |
| Profile picture (optional) | To show on your profile and to organizers of events you join. |
| Registrations, tickets, seats, check-ins, program enrolments and daily ticks | To provide the service: your tickets, entry at the gate, streaks and progress. |
| Files and answers you submit to an event (for example competition entries) | To pass them to the organizer and judges of that event. |
| Order records: amount, GST, invoice, Razorpay payment and refund IDs | To process payments and refunds and to keep the records tax law requires. |
| Device push token and notification settings | To send reminders and event updates you have switched on. |
| Technical logs (IP address, browser or app version, errors) | To keep the service secure and fix problems. |
We do not collect your card number, UPI PIN or bank login; Razorpay handles those directly. The app uses your camera only when you scan QR codes at a gate, and does not upload those images.
3. Who we share it with
- Organizers of events and programs you join see your name, email, profile picture, ticket and seat, check-in status, progress and anything you submit to that event.
- Razorpay processes payments and refunds.
- Google handles “Continue with Google” sign-in, and Firebase Cloud Messaging (Google) delivers push notifications.
- Novu manages which notifications are sent to you and the in-app inbox.
- Our hosting provider, where our servers, database and file storage run.
- Authorities, only when Indian law requires it.
These providers may process data outside India, under their own security and privacy commitments. We never sell your personal data or share it for advertising.
4. Cookies and tracking
Eventory stores only what is needed to keep you signed in, in your browser’s storage. We do not use advertising, analytics or cross-site tracking cookies. Our public pages load fonts from Google Fonts.
5. How long we keep it
- Account data: while your account is open. When you ask us to delete it, we delete or anonymise it within 30 days.
- Order and invoice records: as long as Indian tax law requires (currently up to 8 years), even after the account is deleted.
- Technical logs: a few weeks, unless needed to investigate a security issue.
6. Your rights
You can ask us to show you the personal data we hold about you, correct it, or delete it, and you can withdraw consent (for example to notifications) at any time. You can edit your name and picture and switch notifications off in the app yourself. For anything else, email shubham@buildbykashyap.in from the address on your account.
7. Security
Connections are encrypted (HTTPS), passwords are hashed, and access to production systems is limited to the operator. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your data we will tell you and the authorities as the law requires.
8. Children
Eventory is meant for adults. Anyone under 18 should use it only with a parent or guardian’s consent. If you believe a child has given us data without that consent, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Grievance officer
Shubham Ramprasad Kashyap · shubham@buildbykashyap.in · Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. We acknowledge complaints within 48 hours and aim to resolve them within 30 days.
10. Changes
We will update this page when our practices change and show the new date at the top. Important changes will also be announced in the app or by email.
